  1. The 2008 AGHE Annual Meeting and Educational Leadership Conference
    • Febuary 21-24, 2008
      Balitmore, MD

The theme is 'Disciplinary Convergence: The Nexus of Gerontology and Geriatrics Education.' The goal is to focus on interdisciplinary interactions, the area in which gerontology and geriatrics come together for the enhancement of quality of life of older individuals. There has been quite a bit written in the past about ideal interdisciplinary interactions. However, that ideal state has yet to be attained. AGHE, as an organization that leads the training of future generations of gerontologists and geriatrics specialists, is in a unique position to bring the field closer to that ideal state. Its attainment can lead to exponentially enhanced quality of life for the elderly segment of the population.
