The policy and legislation area will be used to post new state and local government legislation affecting the aging network community.
Policy Committee Update
August/September 2009

The Policy Committee has been working on a presentation to be given before the Ohio House of Representative’s Aging and Disability Services Committee in September. The topics of this presentation will include how aging will be experienced by those who are disabled earlier in life and later in life and how the Ohio Legislature can help the aging network better serve these populations. The policy Committee is also working to increase the career opportunities of students in gerontology through outreach to other areas of aging studies such as Social Work and Nursing.
